Oakville earns eighth consecutive recognition as one of Canada’s best locations to invest

For the eighth year in a row, the Town of Oakville has been recognized as one of Canada’s top locations for investment by Site Selection Magazine. The international business publication has once again named Oakville on its Canada’s Best Locations list, recognizing the top 20 regions for investment across the country.

Oakville’s latest recognition follows another year of strong investment and business activity across the community. Between June 1, 2025, and May 31, 2026, new company arrivals included Laurentis Energy Partners, Miura Canada Co. Ltd., AFX Mixing and Pumping Technologies and BorderWorx. 

Oakville is also attracting significant investment in innovation and advanced manufacturing. In April 2026, the Government of Canada announced a $23 million investment toward a $70 million Siemens Canada project to scale up its Global AI Manufacturing Technologies Research and Development Centre for Battery Production in Oakville. The project is part of a broader $150 million investment by Siemens.

Through Invest Oakville, the Town is working to build on these successes by strengthening the conditions that help businesses choose Oakville, remain in the community and grow. The Town’s 2025-2029 Economic Development Plan is focused on strengthening the local economy, enhancing investment readiness and attracting new investment and jobs. Invest Oakville also launched Branches to Business in 2025, providing businesses with customized support related to funding, workforce development, growth and navigating municipal processes.
