Ritual and Oakville partner to support local businesses
Monday, October 05, 2020
Today, Mayor Rob Burton and the Town of Oakville announced a partnership with Toronto start-up Ritual to provide local businesses with an easy way to accept digital orders online and onsite.
“The digital economy has been a growing part of the greater economy and during the pandemic has become more important than ever. This partnership with Ritual will help more local businesses successfully enhance their digital capabilities and I encourage businesses to sign up and try the service,” said Mayor Rob Burton.
Ritual ONE provides businesses, such as restaurants, grocers, retail shops, and coffee shops, with an easy way to accept commission-free digital orders from their own website and social media accounts. Onsite contactless digital ordering is also available. Customers will be able to choose between pickup and delivery. Ritual ONE is available to any business in need of a digital ordering solution during this time.
Businesses that sign up for Ritual ONE by October 31, 2020 will receive the service free through 2020, meaning businesses will not pay any monthly subscription fees, credit card fees or setup fees on Ritual ONE orders through 2020. Businesses will be provided with a dedicated expert to help support them during the onboarding process. This offer is also available to existing restaurants in the Ritual marketplace.
This initiative and other online tools are available for Oakville businesses as part of the Economic Task Force’s short-term economic support and recovery plan.
